(Here's a link to the full quality, downloadable, & iPodable video of my LASIK on markdehate.com)
So I had my LASIK done yesterday (Friday), and everything seems to have went really well! I got a DVD of the procedure, did some editing, added some titles, and some inappropriate music, and above is the digital proof of my work. It really was painless - a little uncomfortable, but honestly painless. After the procedure, I did a lot of sleeping the rest of the day. Even then, not a big deal - it felt like I had a contact in backwards in my left eye, but that's about it. Today I'm feeling great! I've got lots of eye drops that I use regularly and will be for the next couple of weeks.
The doctor today told me that I'm seeing 20/20 out of my right eye and 20/25 out of my left, which is quite impressive given the amount of correction that I had done and being only 24 hours after the surgery. Good news indeed. I can see mostly normally, although lights at night are a little fuzzy. I would say my vision is a little fuzzy in general, but not bad, I don't have any problems reading anything at this point. I did a little bit of night driving, and it's not something that I'd want to do for an extended period yet. I didn't feel in danger or anything, but lots of fuzzy lights.
Okay, hopefully more updates later, but for now I've got to eat some cereal. Enjoy the up-close and personal footage of my eye (I was going to put it on the YouTuber but it's 14 minutes long, which is too long for the 'Tube).

i'm sorry, WTF! crazy that that is your eye.
That is flippin' sweet. It makes you realize that modern medicine has moved like lightspeed since the days of the model T.
Can you imagine the first person to that that procedure done?
"so we are going to take a sharp needle and prick your eye several times and remove a bit of the cover"-doctor
"you got to be on cocaine"-patient
Hah, that's funny. Actually I think the test patients for this must have been the ones on cocaine...
